Clipnest Video Download · updated on 24/10/2026This policy explains what data the Clipnest Video Download extension ("extension") and its subscription service process, why and how. Controller: Studio Safeway — contact: studiosafeway@gmail.com.
1. Data that stays in your browser
To detect videos, the extension looks at the addresses and headers of the network responses of the pages you visit, and captures a thumbnail of the active tab when it finds media. This information, the media list, the download history and your settings are stored locally in your browser and are never sent to our servers.
2. Data sent to our server
- Google account: when you sign in, Google gives us your account identifier and email address. We use them to identify your account and plan.
- Quota usage: the date and time of each authorized download, to apply the free plan limit. We do not receive which video, page or site you downloaded.
- Approximate country: the country your connection comes from, provided by our hosting, is only used to show the price in your currency and is not stored.
- Subscription: the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and the payment status.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and never pass through or are stored by us. See Stripe's privacy policy.
4. Purpose and legal basis
We process this data to perform our contract with you (account, quota and subscription), meet legal and tax obligations and prevent fraud. We do not sell data, do not use it for advertising and do not share it with third parties, except the necessary processors: Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting).
5. Retention
Sessions expire after 90 days. Download records are deleted after 90 days. Account data is kept while the account exists; payment records may be kept for the period required by law.
6. Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data by emailing studiosafeway@gmail.com. To sign out, use "Sign out" in the extension settings; to cancel your subscription, use "Manage subscription".
7. Security
All communication uses HTTPS. Session tokens are stored on the server only as a cryptographic hash.
8. Limited use
The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
